MSU Receives Silver Award

On Wednesday, March 12, 2008 the New York Blood Center held its annual high school recognition luncheon at The New York Botanical Gardens. At this awards ceremony, the Academy of Mount St. Ursula received the Silver Star Award for Participation. This award was based on 39% participation from students, faculty and parents in the school's first Blood Drive held this past November. In total the school donated 38 pints of blood which has the potential to save up to 180 lives. The school plans to hold another blood drive this fall.
