Career Day at MSU
On Wednesday, April 23, 2008 the Academy of Mount St. Ursula held its annual Career Day for the junior class. This day was organized by the school's dedicated guidance department, led by Mrs. Diana Papa.
The goal of the day was to expose the students to a variety of careers. Over 15 presenters, twelve of which were alumnae, shared their insights on which college majors would best equip them with the proper knowledge base to pursue their career choices. The students attended three workshop sessions run mostly by Mount St. Ursula alumnae who are currently established in the following fields: law, medicine, finance, education, engineering, and journalism.
The keynote speaker was Becky Hamilton from the Liberty LEADS program. She is an expert in the college application process and provided the students with the latest information on how to make an application stand out from the crowd.
