MSU Students Learn Beyond the Classroom

Part of the core values of an Ursuline Education is the emphasis on the individual with a commitment to fostering the holistic development of each student. At Mount St. Ursula the faculty and staff take this attribute to heart, which is why three times a year the school dedicates an entire day to excursions, service and retreats. This special day is known as Enrichment Day and on Wednesday, October 3rd, the students of the Academy of Mount St. Ursula truly were enriched by first hand experiences that will stay with them forever.

Some freshmen students were assigned to service opportunities at St. Philip Neri, Our Lady of Mercy, and Concourse House. The remaining freshmen and a select group of sophomores reflected in a day long retreat. Seniors attended a college workshop on campus run by the Guidance Department. The juniors and remaining sophomores signed up for tours at NBC Studios, Robert Moses State Park, Woodlawn Cemetery and the Bronx Zoo.

Overall the day was filled with memories that will stay with the students for the rest of their lives.
