MSU Participates in Mathematics Competition
Since 2002, the Academy of Mount St. Ursula has participated in the Catholic High School Mathematics League competition. After the third exam this year, the school currently ranks sixth out of the twenty-three boys, girls and coed Catholic high schools located in New York and New Jersey.
The competition consists of four exams taken throughout the school year. Schools are ranked based on the highest five individual team member scores and individuals are ranked based on their cumulative scores.
Danielle Flores '09 and Kumhyun Song '10 ranked in eighth and ninth place respectively for their individual cumulative scores.
"As the only Bronx, all young women's Catholic high school to participate this year, we are extremely proud of our students for their academic accomplishment," stated the school president, Jane Martínez Dowling.
