MSU Upgrades its Technology
As the Academy of Mount St. Ursula welcomes its students to another academic year, it proudly launches the redesign of its school website. This redesigned website includes a "Senior Section" dedicated to information on senior class events and college research/preparation and a "Serviam" section dedicated to the Ursuline motto "I will serve." This section highlights service award recipients and provides information on service opportunities. Additionally, a Prayer Corner page has been created to give students an online outlet for reflection. "We are very excited to offer these student oriented sections and our girls are thrilled to have access to this information online," stated Jane Martínez Dowling, President of MSU.
Additionally, the school would like to thank fellow alumna Michelle Camelo (Class of 1993) for the graphic design of the website.
In conjunction with the website release, the school upgraded its wireless network giving students, faculty and staff easier and faster access to the many educational resources available on the internet throughout the building. Most faculty already use SmartBoards interactive white board computers in the classroom to supplement their lesson plans, so this upgrade further enhances the educational experience for students and teachers alike.
