See the World

This past summer, Kelly Grande visited Egypt and saw the Pyramids of Giza and found the entire experience life changing.

Yetunde Adetoro went to Mexico and Danielle Flores traveled to Thailand. In Thailand, Danielle rode elephants, hiked through hill tribe areas and went rafting. She also learned the language and was complimented on her accent by the end of the trip.

Sheryl Hado spent a month in Costa Rica were she went snorkeling, white water rafting and kayaking in the Pacific Ocean. Her favorite experience was hiking in a cloud forest.

Take Classes in a University

Current sophomores Kailani Capote, Marian Guerra, Crystal McMillian, Adeola Okoduwa, Darien Rodriguez, and Kiara Vega participated in the Summer Institute at Fordham University, where they took courses in Leadership, Ethics, Writing, and Science, in addition to participating in various extra-curricular activities and community service programs.

Sakia Miller and Sharae McDuffie participated in a two week summer program at Brown University. Sakia studied Psychology and Sharae who would like to go into medicine studied Epidemiology.

Work in Wall Street

Imani Palanque interned at Merrill Lynch and experienced the world of Wall Street first hand. She was able to network with business executives, come to a fuller understanding of business life, and all of this, helped her choose her own career path.
