After reading the popular play A Doll’s House, Ms. Mirabella’s seniors were asked to write a sequel as a concluding project. This project required the students to create an actual script and perform on stage. The students had to incorporate various elements of plot, utilize expressions and gestures, and develop characters through the use of dialogue and props. While each group performed on stage, the rest of the class acted as the audience and watched from their chairs. After all performances concluded, Ms. Mirabella casted an anonymous vote for the best overall actress, the best leading actress and the best supporting actress. In addition, the class voted for the best group collaboration. Friday, Ms. Mirabella will host her annual acting party with the seniors and celebrate the talent in her class. All winning recipients will receive awards and homework passes!
