StART 2017 Exhibition

Danielle Montanez ’18, Still Life in Charcoal and Zuleika Rymer ’17, Girl with Red Flowered Crown

IMG_7582Congratulations to Academy of Mount St. Ursula senior, Zuleika Rymer and junior, Danielle Montanez, who participated in the StART 2017 Regional High School Art Exhibition. Their artwork was displayed at the StART 2017 exhibit in the Osilas Gallery at Concordia College, Bronxville, NY.

IMG_7561AMSU senior, Zuleika Rymer ’17, has been accepted to the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and hopes to attend in the fall. “It has been an exhilarating experience for me to have my artwork displayed at the StART 2017 exhibition. I was inspired by the other artists’ distinct styles and level of artwork,” said Zuleika. Danielle Montanez ’18, was honored and encouraged by having artwork displayed in the Osilas Gallery at Concordia College. Danielle is undecided on a career path at this time, and is considering art school, but she also has interests in pursuing Psychology and the study of Linguistics.

IMG_7580The Exhibition began on January 6th and through January 17th. StArt 2017 was sponsored by The Heart of Neiman Marcus, which supports “organizations that bring enriching arts experiences to youth, because ART changes lives.” High school artists were selected for their quality of work from 30 regional public and private high schools across Westchester, Fairfield, Rockland and Orange Counties and the Bronx, to participate in StArt 2017.
