Name : Mrs. Carolyn Duggan
Position/Title: Assistant Principal for Discipline and Student Affairs
Phone: (718) 364-5353 Ext.212
AMSU Start Date: 2002.
Biography: I began my teaching career as a science teacher and retired (after 35+ years) as Assistant Principal Organization and Security from a NYC inner-city high school in 2001. I happily served as Assistant Principal at St. Philip Neri for 1 year, but was pleased to accept the invitation to return to a high school setting – I really missed that word Regents! Born and bred in the city, I attended St. James School, Cathedral and Marymount College(B.S. biology). The NSF provided my graduate science courses and Fordham University conferred the M.S. Administration degree. AMSU is a spiritual and educational haven with capable and caring colleagues and students – a great place to be after the Major Deegan wars and daily battles with parking spaces. I thank God for a wonderful family, 3 grandchildren and good friends. Life is good.
