Ms. Mirabella started her career at AMSU in 2011. Prior to this, she attained a Bachelors Degree in Education at Iona College and a Masters Degree in Literacy at The College of New Rochelle. Ms. Mirabella teaches 9th, 10th and 12th grade English. Her hope is to inspire her students through literature and assist them in developing a passion for English.

Ms. Mirabella is the moderator of the National Honor Society (NHS). This society celebrates student service and academic achievement. She also developed the first ever fashion (FAB) club at AMSU. This club enables students to express their style as it promotes confidence and individuality.

Aside from teaching, Ms. Mirabella loves decorating and dining. She also enjoys shopping and spending time with family. She is a huge fan of inspirational quotes and aspires to travel the world.

Ms. Masick first began teaching at AMSU in 2008. She left in 2011 to return to school and returned to AMSU in 2015. She is extremely excited to once again be a part of the AMSU family where she will continue to foster students’ development in Academics, Arts, and Services and to instill in the young woman of AMSU and love and appreciation for literature. Miss Masick earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.S.T. in Adolescent Education/English Grades 7-12. Aside from teaching she loves to read and cook and bake.

Ms. Sticklor has a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing from The New School and an MFA from City College with a focus on Creative Fiction Writing. She has published 26 short stories in various literaryjournals throughout the United States and the UK. She published her first novel, Betwixt and Between, in 2013 through Ig Publishing. In addition Ms. Sticklor has taught Writing, Literature, Creative Writing and Developmental Writing at a number a universities including SUNY Old Westbury, Queens College and the Gotham Writer’s Workshop. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.

Ms. Sticklor is delighted to be a new member of the AMSU team. This school renews her already strong belief in Catholic education.
