Would a $10,000 scholarship help some of your students? As we enter yet another college application season, I would like to remind you of an opportunity for your students who apply to Assumption College.
Assumption offers students from Academy of Mount Saint Ursula:
- A $2,500 Bro. Gerard Brassard Scholarship, awarded annually for all four years at Assumption (in addition to other financial aid or scholarship awards they might receive)
- Consideration for merit scholarships up to $22,000 per year
- The opportunity to apply for a $24,000 Light the Way Scholarship (non-merit based) for those impacting the world in a positive way
- The assurance that their tuition rate will not increase during their four years at Assumption
Assumption College was founded in 1904 by the Augustinians of the Assumption to educate students in the Catholic intellectual tradition and form individuals known for critical intelligence, thoughtful citizenship, and compassionate service. That outstanding tradition continues today. The Brassard Scholarship was developed to recognize those students who appreciate the value of a Catholic education.
In line with our mission, Assumption’s Light the Way Scholarship is awarded to students who utilize their abilities to Light the Way for others. Whether it’s community service to help people in need, innovation to improve society, or volunteering to heal our planet, this scholarship recognizes and supports students who positively impact the world in their own meaningful way.
We understand the increasing financial pressure on families with college-bound students. Assumption Assurance provides families of students enrolling in the fall of 2017 the ability to develop a realistic financial plan for their child’s four years without the worry of unexpected tuition increases.
Assumption offers exceptional academic programs with 41 majors and 48 minors in the liberal arts and sciences, business, and professional studies, in an environment that encourages the contagious support, friendship, respect, and a deep sense of fulfillment that emerges from the premise that each student matters. Those students are encouraged to identify their gifts and talents to better the world around them. That’s what we call lighting the way.
